About Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park is one of the most popular and well known neighborhoods in Chicago. Lincoln Park stretches north from North Ave to Diversey, and west from Lake Michigan to Ashland. At 1,200 acres, Lincoln Park, the neighborhood’s namesake, is the largest public park in Chicago. Located within the park you will find the famous Lincoln Park Zoo, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, gardens, a bird sanctuary, beaches, plenty of open spaces and more.
Lincoln Park has long been popular with young professionals and recent college graduates, and is now regaining popularity with young families. Many of the homes in Lincoln Park are brownstones and graystones. Over the years, many were turned into condominiums, but with the new influx of families to the neighborhood, many are being restored to their original state. Real estate in Lincoln Park ranges from luxury homes and condominiums to surprisingly affordable single-family homes.
Lincoln Park is also a center for shopping, nightlife and entertainment. Lincoln Park has more restaurants per capita than any other neighborhood in Chicago, along with bars, boutique shopping, Steppenwolf Theater, and the world famous Second City Theatre.
With its close proximity to downtown Chicago, Lincoln Park is a short drive or commute to the city. Additionally, CTA Red, Brown and Purple Lines and buses serve Lincoln Park.
